Krate ("we", "our", "us") operates the Krate mobile application. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account information — email address, display name, and profile picture (provided via Sign in with Apple or email registration).
• Music preferences — genres, eras, BPM range, energy level, and platform preferences you set during onboarding or in settings.
• Usage data — tracks you save or skip, listen duration, krates you create, badges earned, and streak activity.
• Device tokens — Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications, stored only when you enable notifications.
• Purchase data — subscription status managed through RevenueCat; we do not store payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To personalize your daily music recommendations.
• To sync your krates, badges, and preferences across devices.
• To send push notifications you have opted in to (streak reminders, daily dig, weekly progress).
• To manage your subscription and provide customer support.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services that may process your data under their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and edge functions (supabase.com/privacy).
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
• RevenueCat — in-app subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy).
• YouTube / SoundCloud — embedded players for track playback, subject to their respective terms of service.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services listed above to operate the app. If you share a krate or track, your display name may be visible on the shared link page.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.

6. Your Rights

• Access & export — contact us to request a copy of your data.
• Deletion — delete your account in-app (Profile > Delete Account) or contact us at support@digkrate.com.
• Opt out of notifications — toggle push notifications off in Profile > Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Krate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
