Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Krate mobile application ("App") operated by Krate ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Krate. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account and to notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• Krate offers auto-renewable subscriptions: Resident (monthly or annual) and Headliner (monthly or annual).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4. Content & Usage

• Music content in Krate is sourced from third-party platforms (YouTube, SoundCloud). We do not host or own the underlying music.
• You may save, organize, and share tracks and krates for personal, non-commercial use.
• You agree not to use the App to infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Use automated means to access the App (bots, scrapers, etc.).

6. Intellectual Property

The Krate name, logo, design, and associated code are the property of Krate. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Krate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.

13. Apple's Standard EULA

To the extent applicable, use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
